Coast Engine and Equipment Co. (CEECO) is the Northwest's leading repair and rebuild shop for locomotives, railcars and heavy diesel locomotive engines. We offer services from minor field service calls through complete remanufacturing. Though we work on EMD and GE locomotives we are the authorized Electro Motive Diesel warranty and repair facility for the U.S. west coast. We offer services ranging from typical running repair and component replacement, to major wreck and damage repair. We can rebuild any vintage or model of locomotive back to OEM standards.

Our car repair facilities handle everything from bad order repairs to Class I & Class B maintenance; and wreck and damage repair. We are located in the heart of the Port of Tacoma, one of the fastest growing and largest container facilities in the United States. Our bolster shop is the largest in the State of Washington and one of the largest on the west coast. We can handle freight, passenger and specialty car repairs and rebuilds.

Our paint work has been featured in major industry publications as the benchmark of quality. Our paint crew has painted everything from wreck damaged locomotives to newly built locomotives sent from the factory to CEECO for final paint. Our restoration of classic equipment is unparalleled. Our largest customers have all told us we have the highest quality paint jobs available in the United States. We are extremely proud of our staff and paint work.

We also offer off site mobile based repair and service crews. We can handle daily 229.21 servicing of locomotives, railcar inspection and testing, engine repair and freight car repair from our mobile crews. Our staff is trained, certified and professional.
